While gearing up for the release of their Guardians-centric issue this week, Empire released three stills, include a tense shot of Rocket Raccoon and Yondu look like they're about to face off in a fight.

After serving as a semi-antagonist in the first flick, Yondu Udonta is slated to join the Guardians team in the follow-up movie. Part of the original Guardians team based in the 31st century, director James Gunn messed with the comics timeline a bit when he decided to use the character with the current team.

Rocket, on the other hand, has been a part of the movie-based team for the vast majority of his lifespan in the comics. The Halfword native first appeared The Incredible Hulk #271 and was created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen.
