Though the whole world seems to be in love with porgs, there are still many questions surrounding the adorable alien birds from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Are they friendly? Are they edible? And now, are they dangerous?

Actor John Boyega, who plays the turncoat Stormtrooper known as Finn in the new film, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the creatures and teased their more sinister nature.

"I just remember doing some stuff and seeing a lot of porgs around," said Boyega. "And they are interesting, but for me, I had a love/hate relationship with them. They're very, very cute, but when you put them in a bunch, in holes, on the Millennium Falcon, that's when they start to become really, really freaky."

We've heard that the creatures of Ahch-To are intrusive, replicating creatures. It looks like they might infest the Millennium Falcon, which will only aid in their plague-like spread across the galaxy.

"They've got real big eyes, all bunched together," Boyega said. "There were, like, little tiny ones and little big ones that would just…yeah, it looks like a rash."

Rey actor Daisy Ridley also chimed in on porgs, revealing her character isn't fond of them during a discussion with USA Today.

"Rey, honestly, is too wrapped up in her own journey to pay attention to porgs," said Ridley. "Which is a sad thing."

But she herself recognizes the technological achievement and aesthetic appeal of the creatures.

"It's wonderful to be working around practical things on set that have such personality," Ridley said. She even has her own "It's bringing a lot of pleasure right now," Ridley said, adding that the creature is "adorable" and "hilarious."

While fans are enamored with the creatures, the jury is still out on their place in the Star Wars galaxy. Are they friend, foe, or maybe even food? We'll find out if Chewbacca dines on one of his pet's friends when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters on December 15.
