BTS's Stunning New Single 'Crystal Snow' Will Make You Sentimental

BTS is on the rise in the U.S, but the hugely popular k-pop act isn’t just wanting to dominate the west. Today, the group had three new Japanese tracks drop, and its “Crystal Snow” single has fans buzzing.

BTS released its long-awaited Japanese comeback earlier today when the group released “MIC Drop,” “DNA,” and “Crystal Snow” abroad. The collection has been a much-anticipated one for fans, and ARMY members were quick to show love for the release online. In a rare move, BTS even released the Japanese-language music on U.S. streaming sites like Spotify and Apple Music. As such, “Crystal Snow” climbed up the U.S. iTunes’ single chart to number 28 despite having no foreign promotions outside of Japan.

In Japan, the track is doing very well as many expected. According to Oricon Japan, BTS now has the highest-selling Japanese single of any k-pop artist to date. Their new release sold nearly 270,000 copies on its first day.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to BTS’s new single, it is definitely worth a listen. The track, which was created in part by BTS member RM, is a chill single with humming melodies and an invigorating rap break. The song has an electronic pop aesthetic that mingle with interspersed chimes and the group’s outstanding vocals. And, if you have been wanting to hear BTS’s rap line slow down its verses, “Crystal Snow” gives you what you have wanted.

So far, there is no word on if the brand-new song will get a music video. BTS did drop a video of “MIC Drop” in Japanese which can be found on Youtube now.
