'Inuyashiki' Just Roasted Donald Trump

Regardless of your feelings about the current President of the United States, many in the anime and manga industry have taken it onto themselves to depict Donald Trump in a hilarious way.

The latest anime to do so is Hiroya Oku's Inuyashiki: Last Hero. The eleventh episode of the series recently featured a cameo from Trump that did not paint the President in the best light.

During the eleventh episode, the characters find out a meteorite is heading toward the Earth and mankind will soon be destroyed. Depicting Trump as the President reacting to the news he says, "In three days, a giant asteroid will crash into the Earth. I've lived long enough. I even became President, of this great land. I have no regrets. The rest of you losers can go do whatever the hell you want."

While this parody is hilarious, it is a bit chilling. Especially when you consider the route Oku's original manga version had taken where Trump says, "I've lived long enough. I've done everything I wanted to do. I get to go out on top as President. There's nothing left for me to prove. So all bets are off now. Steal, rape, kill, do your worst, you fucking scumbags! As of this moment, murder is now legal!"

While the Trump scene has certainly become infamous, there's no guarantee it will make it into the live-action adaptation of the series, which just premiered its first trailer recently.

For those unfamiliar with Inuyashiki, the series was originally created by Hiroya Oku (who previously created the super popular science-fiction series Gantz). Originally debuting in Kodansha's Evening magazing in 2014 and ran until July 2017. The series has been collected into ten volumes, and twelve anime episodes, and follows the elderly Inuyashiki Ichiro, a friendless and lonely individual who gets caught in a mysterious explosion.

When he wakes up, he realizes he now has an ultra-powerful mechanical body and decides to use his newfound power to protect others. He soon finds, however, than another individual shared the same fate but has chosen to use his power for violent means. You can currently watch the anime series on Amazon's Anime Strike streaming service.
