Spy x Family Shows New Look at Anya’s Best Friendship Ahead of Season 3

The most adorable anime to ever feature espionage, subterfuge, child soldiers, and domestic terrorism will soon be back for its third season. Spy x Family returns for its third season this Fall, and CloverWorks/WIT Studio have just unveiled a brand new look at Anya and her best friend ahead of the new season. Season 3 is one of the most anticipated returning anime of Fall 2025, with Season 3 premiering on October 4th. Fans are excited for Loid, Yor, and Bond Forger to return to our screens in the new season, but it’s hard to argue against Anya being the star of the show, and she’s taking centre stage in the latest promo for Season 3, with a special guest.

The cover for Autumn’s issue of Seventeen Magazine has just been unveiled, and Anya and Becky have taken over the magazine for the next issue. Standing in high school uniforms (as opposed to their usual Eden Academy uniforms), the pair pose for the camera with their fingers doing the joint love-heart pose. Their bags each have their respective names on colored labels. But eagle-eyed fans will spot anime’s best boy, Bond Forger, in tag form on Anya’s bag.

Anya & Becky Will Have More Misadventures in Spy x Family Season 3

It’s appropriate that Anya and Becky are on the new promo for Season 3 because friendship will be a major theme in the new season. Season 3 of CloverWorks and WIT Studios’ anime adaptation will adapt the Friendship Schemes Arc. In the arc, Anya tries to help with Operation Stix by improving her friendship with Damian. Season 3 will also continue the WISE Arc by digging into Agent Twilight’s elusive past. Even with Anya’s psychic skills, Loid/Twilight’s past is a mystery to viewers, but Season 3 will give audiences a glimpse at how he became the no-nonsense (some nonsense in Operation Stix) spy fans know and love.

CloverWorks and WIT Studios return for their joint partnership for Season 3. When Spy x Family debuted in 2022, fans were treated to a full two cours of episodes. Season 2 then dropped in October 2023, and fans felt short-changed with just 12 episodes. The episode count for Season 3 hasn’t been officially revealed yet. However, it is expected to follow the trend set by Season 2 and contain another 12 episodes.
