Featuring a cryptic teaser poster that only shows two shadows, Marvel announced Spider-Men #1 today, which will hit in June and be written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Sara Pichelli. It's been rumored that following the events of this summers' Avengers vs. X-Men and Ultron War stories, Bendis will step down from his role as the shepherd of The Avengers and that has left fans and industry watchers wondering what the superstar writer might do next. Now it seems that he'll be working (at least part of the time) in the Spider-Man offices, but the twin protagonists of his title beg another question: Who will be joining Peter Parker as the second Spider-Man? Since the launch of a new Scarlet Spider ongoing series featuring one of Spider-Man's former villains as the title character, rumors have been flying that Ben Reilly (the former Scarlet Spider and onetime Spider-Man himself) may be returning from the dead. At the same time, Bendis is the writer of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, where a new character named Miles Morales grabbed headlines as the first white, A-list character to be replaced by a minority.
