The Walking Dead Spoiler: New Cast Member Death Revealed

A new trailer for the return of The Walking Dead season three has surfaced online. While the trailer mostly shows the exact same footage from a previous trailer, it also contains a major spoiler, which reveals the death of another Walking Dead cast member. If you don't want to know the spoiler, then stop reading now. In the new trailer, a man is shown lying on the ground in front of Carol. The man is not moving, and he appears to be dead. Any question over if he is dead or merely unconscious is soon rendered moot, as a bullet rips into his back, sending blood splattering up. The man appears to be a redhead, and he is wearing a black shirt. The same man appears earlier in the clip standing in front of Tyreese's group. In this image, more of the man's face and facial hair can be seen, which sort of looks like Axel. However, Axel is usually shown in gray prison garb, and this man is wearing a black shirt.

Wait a minute, here's a cast photo from Entertainment Weekly. Lew Temple, who plays Axel, is shown wearing a black shirt in what looks to be a break between scenes.

Lets take a little bit closer look. Yep, it sure appears to be the same black shirt. Not much doubt that it's Axel lying on the ground and taking a bullet in the back. The Walking Dead Season 3 returns on Sunday, February 10, 2013 on AMC.
