During a new interview with Digital Spy (embedded below), Robert Downey, Jr. told an interviewer that he’s hesitant to commit to returning for Marvel’s The Avengers 2 and Iron Man 4–not because he isn’t interested, but because he doesn’t want to give everyone the impression that he’s coming back, and then change his mind.”I just don’t know. I’m having a good time, you know what I mean? I just dislike it when people say one thing and then do something else. I don’t know why but I’m a stickler for it,” Downey said.He added that he’s been talking about a fourth Iron Man for a while, but that his wife will bring him back down to Earth by pointing out that there isn’t a script or a director yet, so it’s not really “real.””Today, I would say I’d be happy to continue–and I’d be a little nervous and a little depressed but I would capitalize on not doing it too.”
