The NYCC event has announced its dates -- so prepare to head to the city for some parts of Oct. 5-8, 2017 -- and it has now also revealed a trio of panelists that will be headlining the convention.
William Shatner will be available on Sunday only, while Michael Rooker as well as Sean Gun plan to be on-site for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Shatner will be keeping his usual list of convention appearances with other stops scheduled in 2017 for the Fan Expo Regina Saskatchewan (Canada), Nickel Con in Buffalo (NY), Freedom Fest in Las Vegas (NV), the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention, Amazing Hawaii Comic Con in Honolulu, as well as the London Comic Con in Ontario (Canada).
Both Rooker and Penn are involved in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and will be expected to speak on the related Marvel panels.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
