Shazam! director David F. Sandberg is hard at work bringing the DC Comics superhero to the big screen, but the filmmaker likes to have fun on social media — and he's warning not to mix up your toy lines.

DO NOT MIX UP YOUR TOY LINES!!

Sandberg, who directed horror hits Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation, shared a gruesome and cheeky take on Shazam with two action figures — Shazam (née Captain Marvel) and archfoe Black Adam — as the smiley superhero brutally skins and dismembers his foe, to the delight of horror icon Freddy Krueger.

Sandberg's Shazam! will carry a lighter tone than the director's gory playtime, with star Zachary Levi saying the movie has the potential to be another Guardians of the Galaxy.

Levi referred to the movie "fun" and "jovial," calling it "the movie Big but with super powers."

Despite his place as Shazam's best-known enemy, Black Adam — portrayed by Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star Dwayne Johnson — will not feature in Shazam!

The New Line Cinema production previously cast Disney Channel star Asher Angel as Billy Batson — who transforms into the adult Shazam — and recently added This is Us actress Faithe Herman, Fresh Off the Boat's Ian Chen and Bella and the Bulldogs' Jovan Armand to its ranks.

Shazam! opens April 5, 2019.
