After a multitude of slow-down's and speed bumps, DC's speedster flick, The Flash, is looking like it's still moving forward!

Earlier this year, it was announced that The Flash would be losing its man-in-charge. Writer/director Shane Grahame-Smith decided to leave the project less than two years out from its March 2017 release date. Sometime later, it was revealed that Dope director Rick Famuyiwa would take on the chair.

Fans were beyond excited for Famuyiwa to take over, and everything on The Flash train seemed to be running smoothly. A couple of months later, however, Famuyiwa announced that he would be dropping out as well.

Once Famuyiwa left, everyone was pressing hard on the panic button. No writer/director to speak of, and there was only about 16 months to get the film finished. Many had even speculated that star Kiersey Clemons, slated to play Iris West in the film, would also be leaving.

Clemons had worked with Famuyiwa on Dope, and it wasn't until the director was on board that Clemons had been given the role.

Fortunately for fans of The Flash, it doesn't look like Clemons is going anywhere.

Sunday afternoon, on her personal Twitter account, Kiersey Clemons posted a picture of herself holding a bagged wig.

She notes in the tweet that the wig's name is Iris, hinting that this is the one that has been selected for her in order to play the character.

This is good news for The Flash, as it means they are still moving forward with what they have. It also means Clemons is committed to the role, even without Famuyiwa in the director's chair.

It's worth nothing that there has also been a rumor involving a possible Iris West cameo in the 2017 DC film, Justice League. Barry Allen, aka The Flash, will be a main character in the film, so it would make sense for Iris to appear as well.
