Matt Groening's at times eerily prescient and long-running animated sitcom The Simpsons may have years ago accidentally hinted at Joss Whedon's involvement with the Justice League movie.
While Joss Whedon has never been a guest on The Simpsons, he was referenced in the season 25 episode "Married to the Blob," in which Springfield's Comic Book Guy marries manga artist Kumiko. The episode is littered with comic book Easter eggs and references, including a flier for the meeting of the "Just Us League" featuring a visit from Whedon (postponed indefinitely).

Sure, it may be a bit of a stretch to call this a prediction and seems more like the show's writers trying to squeeze two jokes into a single shot, but in retrospect, the coincidental juxtaposition could be viewed as a hint at something that would be realized only recently.
Whedon is filling in for director Zack Snyder on reshoots and post-production for the Justice League movie. Snyder decided to leave the project early to be with his family following his daughter's suicide.
