Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters in the early part of this summer, and all eyes are on lead actress Gal Gadot. She proved she was worthy of wielding the Lasso of Truth in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and fans can’t wait to see what she can do with her own solo film.

Diana Prince isn’t the only character that folks have got their eyes on. Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor is rumored to be a total scene-stealer, and there’s been plenty of rumblings regarding the addition of Ares to the film.
According to the movie’s producers, Etta Candy is another character to keep on your radar.
During a set visit, some of the filmmakers were asked about some of the side characters. Charles Roven was quick to point out that Etta Candy – played by Shaun Of The Dead star Lucy Davis – is very important to Wonder Woman’s story.
“Definitely. I think Etta Candy, too, great character from the Lor, there’s been lots of different incarnations of her as well. But she does serve a really important role in this movie, being the woman in man’s world, who Dianna meets and interacts with, and is also a very strong capable woman in a different way than Diana is.”
“She’s finally recognized. There’s a funny moment where she tries to explain to Diana what she does. She’s like, ‘Well, I’m a secretary.’ Diana’s like, ‘What’s that?’ And she’s like, ‘Basically, I do pretty much absolutely everything for Steve, night and day. I handle everything. I just take care of absolutely everything.’ She’s like, ‘And I get very little reward.’ And Diana’s like, ‘Well, where we’re from that’s called slavery.’ She really is, and he acknowledges, she’s his right hand and while she doesn’t journey to war with them, she doesn’t go to the front line, she’s working the back channels to make it happen.”
Curt Kanemoto – VP of production at Atlas Entertainment – backed up Roven’s statement that Candy was a vital role.
“She’s like the nuts and bolts behind everything.”
