The Walking Dead Collection Revealed by Telltale, 'Rogue One' Writer Returning to Oversee Final Season

If you love narrative-driven video games, and you're a The Walking Dead fan, we have incredible news for you. This morning Telltale Games revealed The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, which will contain all 19 episodes of the critically-acclaimed series on a single disc. This is the first time that a collection of this magnitude has been made available, and it will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 4! Check out the trailer above.

If you're wondering, yes, this will also be available digitally to download from your respective Xbox or PlayStation game stores, and yes, it will feature some modern enhancements. This morning's press release states specifically that the first and second seasons, along with 400 Days and the three-part Michonne mini-series will boast visual enhancements.

It was also revealed that this collection will include the very latest The Walking Dead adventure from Telltale: A New Frontier. Telltale also announced a brand new chapter in The Walking Dead series, which is being overseen by Rogue One writer Gary Whitta!

Clementine's Final Chapter

Per this morning's press release, Telltale will be launching the fourth and final season of its The Walking Dead series, which will bring down the curtain on Clementine's story. This final season will feature Gary Whitta (Rogue One, The Book of Eli), who has returned to the writers' room as a story consultant. It sounds like we're going out with a bang!

"Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine's journey through the world of The Walking Dead was one of the highlights of my career, so reuniting with them to now bring her story to a close with this final season feels like a homecoming," Whitta said. "Clementine has become not just one of the most compelling characters in the Walking Dead pantheon but one of the great video game characters of all time. I hope we're able to do justice to her and to her millions of fans. This one feels special."
