It wasn’t that long ago when we first talked about the success of Cuphead, as it sold a million copies just shortly after its release. But now, the developers at Studio MDHR have something new to boast – another sales record for its hit run-and-gun action game.
The company posted a blog post today announcing that Cuphead has cleared two million copies sold across Xbox One, Windows PC and Steam. The blog post features a neat animation of Cuphead and his pal Mugman celebrating the feat, along with the following from the studio:
“Hello friends! Much to our shock and amazement, we can announce that Cuphead has now sold over 2 million copies across all platforms. Even in our wildest dreams, we never thought our crazy little characters would be embraced by this many fans from around the world and we are continuously humbled by your support.
So to everyone who has drawn fan art, composed memes, performed songs, conquered challenge runs, streamed their playthrough, or just played Cuphead and had a good time, we love and appreciate all of you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks to the best fans in the world and here’s to a joyful 2018!”
Indeed, things are looking up for Studio MDHR, and we can’t wait to see what they have planned next!
Cuphead is available now for Xbox One and PC.
