When the rework of Urgot was revealed, the fact that his ultimate, Fear Beyond Death, could instantly kill low-health targets sounded too good to be true, but if the enemy team has Knight's Vow, his kill pressure is doubled. Assuming the circumstances are right, Urgot can use his ultimate to one-shot not one, but two full-health targets through a bug involving Knight's Vow.

The insta-kill issue that the support item causes was first brought to light by a user who posted evidence of the interaction to Reddit to try and figure out exactly what was going on. A couple of theories were proposed that dealt with how Urgot's ultimate applies damage and how the effects of Knight's Vow attempt to transfer that damage over to the owner of the item. Below is the description of the Knight's Vow item that contributes to this interaction:

"While within a 1000 range of your Partner, heal for 12% of the damage your Partner deals to champions and redirect 12% of the damage your Partner takes from champions (after reductions) to you as true damage. Both effects are reduced to 6% if the item holder is Ranged."

When it comes to Urgot's ultimate, the true damage applied by the ability grows incrementally once the ability is reactivated to activate the execute function. This way of calculating damage works perfectly for most champions, even those with insanely high health such as Cho'Gath, but with Braum and Tryndamere, the interactions are a bit different.

As shown in the video above created by the popular League of Legends interaction-tester Vandiril, Tryndamere can't be killed by Urgot's ultimate during his Undying Rage ult since he's immune to further damage. However, the damage from Urgot's ult continues to grow in an attempt to kill him, eventually growing to a number that passes over enough damage to kill anyone who's attached to Tryndamere with the Knight's Vow item.

A similar situation happens with Braum, though this champ is Urgot's chance to kill two champions with one ult. The reactivation of Urgot's ult is counted as a projectile when the chains tighten, so it was already known that Braum could intercept the ability to sacrifice himself at full health. It's best that he's not connected to someone with the Knight's Vow if he chooses to do so, though, because a target that's connected to Braum and is less healthy will certainly go down with him.

Rioters have already commented on the issue saying that the interaction definitely needs to be fixed, but for now, be careful buying Knight's Vow if an Urgot is in the game.
