Walmart will be the exclusive retail partner for a new Nintendo Switch bundle that includes a download code for the Splatoon 2 game, a fresh carrying case, and colorful new Joy-Con controllers in Neon Pink and Neon Green. The bundle will sell for a suggested retail price of $379.99 and offers fans in North America their first chance to get their hands on that Joy-Con color combination.
“Consumers in Japan and Europe have already had a strong response to Splatoon 2 bundles in their territories. This exclusive Walmart bundle gives people who have been waiting to buy a Nintendo Switch a great value and incentive to get splatting.”
The Switch has been supply constrained since launch, but if Nintendo’s going out of its way to make a big announcement about this Splatoon 2 bundle, you have to believe they’re sending Walmart a good number of units. Of course, even a healthy amount of stock won’t last long, so be ready to strike!
In other Splatoon 2 news, Nintendo has also announced the theme of the game’s next Splatfest โ flight or invisibility? A good question, and a lot less gross than the mayo vs. ketchup Splatfest we just got. I’d probably go with invisibility, but then, I’m an introvert who can barely climb a step ladder without getting vertigo.
The Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 bundle hits Walmart on September 8. You can check out all WWG’s extensive Switch coverage, right here.
