The future of the Pokemon franchise is about to be revealed and you can watch it right here! Nintendo is having a Pokemon Direct, which almost definitely means a new Pokemon game is on the way. Will it be Pokemon Stars? A remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl? Something else entirely? We don't know what it'll be, but you can watch the reveal live right here with us.

To date, there's only been three Pokemon Directs. The first revealed Pokemon X & Y, the first Pokemon games for the 3DS and the first Pokemon game to use 3D models. The second Pokemon Direct unveiled the PokeBank app, which allows players to transfer mass amounts of Pokemon from game to game. Last year's Pokemon Direct was the first look at Pokemon Sun and Moon, the first new game in the franchise's seventh generation of games.

If it is a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch, this would be the first time Game Freak has released a main series Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch. But Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is one of the more beloved sets of Pokemon games, so a return to Sinnoh wouldn't be bad either.
