Pokemon Go just got two more Shiny Pokemon.

Earlier today, players around the world discovered that Shiny Duskull are now appearing in the wild. Duskull is one of the five new Ghost-Type Pokemon added to Pokemon Go last week to celebrate Halloween, but it initially wasn’t available in its Shiny coloration until earlier today.
While it’s unclear whether Shiny Dusclops are also spawning in the wild, any player that catches a Shiny Duskull can evolve it into Dusclops, meaning that two new Shiny Pokemon were technically added to the game.
Shiny Pokemon are special Pokemon with alternate colorations than their non-Shiny equivalents. While there’s technically no advantage to having a Shiny Pokemon in terms of gameplay, many Pokemon trainers love Shiny Pokemon as they’re usually super-rare.
A Shiny Duskull has a dull crimson red body instead of its usual gray skin. The Shiny Duskull maintains this alternate red coloration when it evolves into Dusclops in the game.
Other Shiny Pokemon

This is the second surprise Shiny Pokemon thatย Pokemon Goย has dropped on players during the Halloween event. Players previouslyย discovered Shiny versions of Sableyeย in the wild when the Halloween event began. Right now, it’s unclear whether Shiny Sableyeย is still appearing in the wild, or ifย Pokemon Goย is somehow cycling Shiny Pokemon through the game.
In addition to the two Shiny Ghost-Type Pokemon, there are also a handful of other Shiny Pokemon currently available for players to catch. Shiny versions of Magikarp, Gyarados, Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichuย can all be found either in the wild or eggs, albeit very rarely.ย
Since Duskull and Sableyeย both have Shiny variants inย Pokemon Go, it seems like it’s only a matter of time until the game adds a Shiny version of Shuppet. We’ll have more aboutย Pokemon Go‘s surprise Shiny Pokemon as we get more confirmation.
