The Pokemon Company has officially revealed its shadowy new Pokemon to the world. The popular gaming franchise introduced Marshadow in a 30 second trailer up above, revealing "new" information about its typing, special abilities, and powerful moves.

As leaked last year, Marshadow is the first-ever Fighting/Ghost dual-type, which gives it several advantages not seen before in the Pokemon game. The new trailer also shows off its Spectral Thief move, which allows Marshadow to steal the buffs of opposing Pokemon and then attack with them. For instance, if an opponent has a boosted Attack stat from one of its own moves, Marshadow can steal it with Spectral Thief and then do boosted damage on the same turn.

Marshadow also has a special Z-Move called Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike, which can only be activated via the Spectral Thief attack. That move has a whopping base damage of 195, which should cause a lot of damage to even the strongest Pokemon. Marshadow's Z-Crystal can't currently be obtained via regular gameplay.

No US or European release date has been announced for Marshadow, but the Mythical Pokemon will probably be distributed when the next Pokemon movie comes out. Marshadow will appear in the new movie as a temporary companion of Ash Ketchum. Marshadow will be distributed in Japan in July.

Marshadow is the last known Pokemon not yet available for the current generation of games. It's believed that the Pokemon Company will focus on new Pokemon formes and Z-Moves until the next major new Pokemon games come out.
