Ever since Runbow came out for the Wii U – and created quite a party phenomenon in the process – some fans have been wondering what 13AM Games, the developers of the hit game, would be working on next. Thanks to Nintendo Life, we now have a pretty good idea.

The team confirmed through the site that its latest release, Runbow Pocket for the New Nintendo 3DS, would come out on June 20th in both the U.S. and Europe. In addition, the game will be available in two different packages. The digital version will be lesser in cost, but will have its DLC sold separately. There will also be a retail version, however, that has all the DLC already included for a slightly higher price.

"I'm so glad that we can finally announce the release date for Runbow Pocket. It's been a long time coming," noted CEO and creative director for the studio, Alex Rushdy. "It was almost exactly one year ago that I got up on stream at E3 with Geoff Keighley and Damon Baker and announced Runbow Deluxe and Runbow Pocket Deluxe. We've been receiving requests for a release date for Runbow Pocket almost every day since then, and we at 13AM Games are truly apologetic and sympathetic for the long delay in getting this game into your hands. We don't like delaying games!"

The trailer for the game can be found above. It also announced campaigns regarding a special vinyl album set, which you can find out more about here.

In addition, Rushdy confirmed that the team was already looking into development for the Nintendo Switch – though it's not necessarily working on a Runbow game. "The team here at 13AM Games are hard at work on their next project… A brand new IP for a totally new game coming to Nintendo Switch! We can't share many details yet, but we can assure you that it's quite a different game from Runbow, but still distinctly 13AM. It's an action game, it's single player, and it's a bit… weird. Good weird, though. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon!" he noted.

We're looking forward to the weirdness soon enough. In the meantime, Runbow Pocket drops in just a couple of weeks!
