The Open-World In Spider-Man For PS4 Will Be Accessible From The Very Beginning

Following the gameplay presentation at E3 2017 of Insomniac's upcoming Spider-Man game coming exclusively to PlayStation 4. An identical demo was shown with some differences behind closed doors. This demo mostly featured various differences in how the sequence shown in the gameplay presentation could play out, including the failure of certain objectives (such as letting the helicopter get too far away from Peter Parker, issuing different paths through the city), and an extended look at the combat.

After the demo, various press and attendees were allowed to ask question to an Insomniac representative.

When asked about whether or not the open-world would be gradually rolled out (akin to the Spider-Man 2 game), Insomniac PR responded saying that the entirety of the game's open-world would be accessible from the start. Allowing full-freedom of Spider-Man's New York from the very beginning.

This'll make sense, especially considering how accustomed Peter Parker is with the city after his eight years of becoming familiar with the city via his web-slinging.
