A new listing has potentially leaked the release date for Nintendo’s upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2. Despite being Nintendo’s most eagerly anticipated game for the remainder of 2026, there’s still very little that we know about its new iteration of Ocarina of Time. Outside of confirming that the remake will launch this year, gameplay footage of the title still has yet to be shown off. And while such a reveal is likely right around the corner, a new leak may have also indicated when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will become available.

According to Swiss retailer WOG.ch, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is set to release on December 1st. Although this date isn’t official just yet, retailers have leaked launch dates for games plenty of times in the past, as they’re often privy to this information prior to the general public. That being said, retailers occasionally use placeholder dates as well in listings, which is a distinct possibility in this case with Ocarina of Time.
Perhaps the biggest thing that goes against this date being the official one for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is that it happens to fall on a Tuesday. While Tuesday has historically been a day of the week on which gaming publishers do release games, this hasn’t been true with Nintendo for a bit now. Instead, Nintendo has frequently been releasing its own first-party games on Thursdays throughout the Switch 2 generation. This was most recently seen with Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders, and will again prove to be the case with next month’s Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
Assuming that this launch date isn’t the correct one, Nintendo fans think they’ve determined when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be releasing. Based on Nintendo’s upcoming release schedule, some have assumed that November 12th could be when the game arrives. This belief is due to Nintendo also releasing new Amiibo figures on the same day. Although the figures don’t happen to be tied to Ocarina of Time specifically, Nintendo typically releases its new Amiibo on the same day as new games. Given that a Nintendo title isn’t yet scheduled for this day, it would make sense for the OoT remake to drop at this time.
Regardless of when The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time does release, it shouldn’t be long before we see more of the game in action. Nintendo typically holds a Direct presentation each year in either late August or early September. While such an event has yet to be confirmed for 2026, we’ll almost certainly be hearing something from Nintendo at some point in the coming days or weeks.
