Avengers, prepare to assemble. The same also goes for fans of the blockbuster films. In 2018, Marvel Studios will unveil Avengers: Infinity War nearly a decade after its cinematic universe launched with Iron Man. Pre-Production has been revving up for the film as directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been teasing fans with updates. And, now, it seems like the production start date for Avengers: Infinity War has been revealed as well.

Thanks to the folks at Omega Underground, fans know that the blockbuster will being production on January 23, 2017. The site is also reporting that Avengers: Infinity War will be shooting out of its homestay in Atlanta, GA. Production details signal that the movie will also film in London, England for an unknown period of time.

If you have kept up with Marvel Studios and its production juggling, then you may be wondering how the company plans to tackle both Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther at the same time. The latter film will kick-off production at the Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Atlanta on January 15, 2017. The two projects will be in production concurrently, so fans are already wondering how King T'Challa will fit into Avengers: Infinity War. The hero, who is played by Chadwick Boseman, will clearly be around if the Russo Brothers need him to drop in a scene or three.

For now, fans can only wait and wonder what all is going on behind the scenes with Avengers: Infinity War. Earlier this summer, the directors teased fans about the project when they shared a photo of Josh Brolin rehearsing for the project. The actor plays Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the upcoming ensemble flick will focus on the Mad Titan's quest for the Infinity Stones.

The Russo Brothers had also given fans vague updates about possible filming locations and props for Avengers: Infinity War. Earlier in the week, the duo shared a video of an unknown prop being made for the film using a 3D printing process called stereolithography. Prior to that, the brothers shared a picture on Twitter of what could be filming locations for the blockbuster. One image depicted a rather trippy, winding staircase that immediately had fans thinking about Doctor Strange. So far, no word has been given on how these updates will fit into the film's production schedule, but more details will arise once filming kicks off next year.
