The ratings for Marvel's Inhumans are in, and while they are predictably low they are not quite catastrophic.

Marvel's Inhumans' two-hour premiere was viewed by 3.8 million people, with 0.9 in the key demographic of adults 18-49. That's the first fall premiere this year to earn a rating below a 1.0.

Expectations for Marvel's Inhumans were not high given the poor critical reception. Those who did watch the series seemed to feel about the same way.

Still, it is the Friday night time slot, which can give any series trouble. Perhaps there will be an uptick in interest as the DVR ratings come in.

While ABC is sure to be disappointed with the rating, they should be comforted in knowing that the Inhumans' IMAX premiere on Labor Day means the series has been more or less paid for.

The Inhumans will air for six more weeks on ABC, beginning with next week's episode, "Divide and Conquer." The episode sees Maximus (Iwan Rheon) sending a team of Inhumans loyal to him to aid Auran (Sonya Balmores) in hunting down Black Bolt (Anson Mount), Medusa (Serinda Swan), and the rest of the escaped Inhumans Royal Family on Earth.

Marvel's Inhumans airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
