Up Next: The Framework Claims Its First Death On Agents of SHIELD
The current story arc sees the agents of SHIELD entering a virtual, alternate reality called the Framework. The rogue Life Model Decoy called AIDA inserted most of the team into the Framework after changing whatever their greatest regret in life was. The result is that Hydra won the war with SHIELD and now hunts down Inhumans in a totalitarian state. What's worse is that most of the show's heroes either work for Hydra or have completely different lives, with no memory of the real world they came from.
Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons hacked their way in with Framework with the intent of rescuing their friends, but now they're trapped inside and have become allied with Grant Ward and a part of the SHIELD resistance led by Jeffrey "The Patriot" Mace. It is now up to them to stop AIDA's plan to open a gateway back to the real world and invade it with her Hydra forces from the Framework.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they've ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
