In a recent interview with Yahoo, Bautista highlighted the onscreen chemistry between Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). As he explained, the pair's comedic talents on the Infinity War set resulted in gold.
"I always thought there would be a lot of good interaction between Tony Stark and Drax, and there was." Bautista explained. "And Star-Lord and Tony Stark as well. When you put those two guys in a room together, it's like a spontaneous combustion. Talk about two talented guys who are so witty and smart and honed-in on their craft. It was a spectacle, and I'm so excited I got to witness it firsthand."
Bautista has been pretty outspoken about his scenes with Downey Jr., but it sounds like the Avengers actor is funny across the board with the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. According to Bautista, adding the Guardians into the Infinity War mix caught the film's directors by surprise.
"When we said something funny, [Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo] would come in after the take and go, 'What was that you said? Say that again!' They were really excited about it."
