Perhaps the most-anticipated film of 2018 is Avengers: Infinity War. The Marvel Studios epic recently wrapped principal photography, with fans eagerly anticipating any sort of official sneak peeks from the film. While footage of the film has yet to be released to the public, fans can get an inkling of what was occurring behind the scenes, thanks to a new Instagram post.
Robert Downey Jr., who reprises his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the upcoming film, recently shared a new BTS photo of him and costar Josh Brolin. Brolin plays the film's primary antagonist, mad titan Thanos. You can check out the photo below.
The photo doesn't really reveal a lot about Infinity War, aside from the fact that it appears to be taken on some sort of green-screened rubble set. Both Brolin and Downey Jr. are wearing mo-cap technology, hinting that Tony Stark will be in his Iron Man suit during this particular meeting with the Mad Titan.
It's safe to say that when the duo's characters meet onscreen, the rapport will be nowhere near as friendly. Nevertheless, the BTS image is pretty awesome - and gives fans an inkling of how much fun the film's massive cast had during filming.
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
