Civil War II has had a severe impact on the heroes of the Marvel universe, but their marquee team, The Avengers, have been dealt several significant blows.
The fallout from Ulysses's visions has resulted in a roster shakeup for the iconic group, with Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Nova, and Miles Morales exiting the team. The remaining members, which include Thor, Vision, and Captain America, have recruited several new faces to join their ranks, two of which are longtime Avengers alumni in Hercules and The Wasp. Every Avengers team needs a Spider-Man nowadays, and this time around Peter Parker will be filling the role.
At the helm is writer Mark Waid and artist Mike Del Mundo, with a regular cover provided by Alex Ross. The book will launch with several variants, including ones from Adam Kubert and Sonia Oback, John Tyler Christopher, Alex Maleev, Butch Guice and Rachelle Rosenberg, and Daniel Acuna.
You can view several of the covers along with an exclusive preview of the book in the gallery.
"Several iterations of Kang—including some we've never seen before. After that, nothing's yet nailed down, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a specific non-traditionally Avengers villain show up...."
