When you think of rough days in the Marvel universe, it's hard not to immediately think of Spider-Man. The iconic hero has seemingly had a never ending rollercoaster of a life, with his ability to rise above the circumstances being one of his most popular traits. In Spidey #12, well, let's just say things could be better.
The crushing part of it is he was actually having a good day. His Aunt May got a job, his boss gave him his check early, and he got to take his dream girl to homecoming in a new tux. Not a bad day at all, but somehow the web-slinger finds himself being thrown out of a window, which would certainly put a downer on any night out.
You can read the official description below.
The Sinister Six strike! For several months, Doctor Octopus and the Six have been planning and waiting to take down Spidey, but do they have to do it on Peter Parker's best week ever? It's all been leading to this…can a lone Spidey defeat all six of his most powerful foes?
Spidey #12 is written by Robbie Thompson with art from Nathan Stockman. Jim Campbell is on coloring duties with VC's Travis Lanham lettering the series, and if you're curious about the book you can view an exclusive preview of Spidey #12 in the gallery.
The Book seems to be keeping to its original premise, which Thompson described previously to ComicBook.com.
"I think the book is actually best summed up in the tagline Marvel created for it: before he was Amazing... he was Spidey. For me, that's been a huge appeal of working on the book -- getting to go back to the high school years and shine a light on the early days of Peter Parker's journey to becoming Spider-Man and doing it in an old school fashion -- single issues, each one telling their own story. "
Spidey #1 hits comic stores on November 2.
