After having a huge day at Disney’s D23 Expo debuting an explosive teaser to Avengers: Infinity War and unveiling Thanos’ Black Order, Marvel Studios invited the actor behind Thanos himself to sign special prints made for the event.

The promo art — an amazingly beautiful piece created by Ryan Meinerding, the head of visual development at Marvel Studios — appears to pay tribute to George Perez’s iconic cover to The Infinity Gauntlet #1 (1991).
On the cover that started the events of Thanos destroying humanity as we know it, the Mad Titan can be seen in a very similar position. He’s surrounded by many of Marvel’s finest character such as the Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Strange and the Silver Surfer.
