While fans are looking forward to Danny Rand’s team up with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and future BFF Luke Cage, the actor himself already has some hopes for Iron Fist’s second season.

Speaking at the Defenders panel at Comicpalooza (via It’s All Connected) alongside Mike Colter, Jones hinted that the classic Iron Fist costume will not be showing up in the team-up series but he wants it included for the show’s potential second season.

“I think moving forward to Season 2, we’ll see something like that [costume],” Jones said. “Personally I hope we get the wispy kind of ripples at the back of the mask. That’s a super cool effect. I think it would actually be annoying, the logistics of it but I think it would look really cool.”

Jones also added that he’d “love to see more K’un L’un, for sure,” returning to the mystical city where he obtained the powers of the Iron Fist.

But don’t read too deep into these statements and begin expecting the show’s second season is on the way; Jones added that nothing has been finalized for more Iron Fest episodes yet.

“Netflix hasn’t ordered a Season 2 yet so hopefully that announcement will be made soon, I hope,” Jones said. “Fingers crossed!”

Despite being one of the streaming service’s most popular offerings when it hit the service in March, Netflix has yet to guarantee more episodes of the series. It seems like only a matter of time, however.

But with Defenders on the horizon, Punisher waiting in the wings, Jessica Jones Season 2 in production, and pre-production for Luke Cage Season 2 starting up, Netflix and Marvel Television are probably just waiting for their plate to clear up before getting ready for more Iron Fist.

โ€จThe Defenders premieres August 18.
