Luke Cage will be the next hero to debut in Netflix’s corner of the Marvel Universe, and a new image of the show has been released that shows Mike Colter’s Luke Cage alongside Misty Knight, who will be played by Simone Missick.

The trailer for Luke Cage debuted at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to much applause, and equally well received was the inclusion of Misty Knight, who’s a fan favorite in the comics. Alongside Colter and Missick are Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, and Theo Rossi as Shades.
The city of Harlem resides behind the two characters in the new photo, which seems to be a character unto itself in the new series. Luke Cage previously resided in Hell’s Kitchen, as seen in Jessica Jones, but events that transpired during the season resulted in Cage setting out to find a new place to call home.
Another resident of Hell’s Kitchen will play a vital role in Luke Cage as well, that being Dawson’s Claire Temple. She was previously seen in Daredevil and Jessica Jones, and will continue to be a major part of the universe in Cage.
“She’s going to serve a very significant part of the Luke Cage story,” star Mike Colter told IGN of Dawson’s character. “Not overwhelmingly so, but you will definitely be satisfied with the amount of screen time you see… I can’t speak to episode count, but you’re definitely going to see her. She’s definitely going to be someone that’s going to have a large storyline and help out a lot.”
Luke Cage debuts on Netflix starting on September 30th.
