Fans can get a little bit of insight and a few new looks at Marvel and Netflix's Luke Cage in the latest issue of SFX, on stands now.
In an issue that looks back at Comic Con International: San Diego and forward to a year where there will be Superman on Supergirl, a Justice League movie, and more, SFX's cover boy is Mike Colter's Luke Cage, who busts heads in the article.
You can check out a preview for the magazine, which features both the cover and a double-page spread featuring the photo at top, here.
The third Marvel Television/Netflix collaboration following the success of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, Luke Cage will center on the titular character, introduced in Jessica Jones, after he's subjected to experiments in prison and given super powers. Little is yet known about the series, except that each episode will be named after a Gang Starr track.
Mike Colter stars as Cage, with Mahershala Ali, Frankie Faison, Erik LaRay Harvey, Darius Kaleb, Alfre Woodard, Frank Whaley, and Simone Missick also playing major roles in the series. Given super-strength and durability by a sabotaged experiment, a wrongly-accused man escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.
Luke Cage will be released on Netflix on September 30, 2016.
