The Marvel Cinematic Universe Comes To 'Legendary' With 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

One popular card game is set to get a Marvel Cinematic Universe upgrade.

Upper Deck recently unveiled their Spider-Man: Homecoming expansion for Marvel: Legendary Deck Building Game. The small-box expansion will include a storyline inspired by the hit MCU movie, which debuted in theaters earlier this year.

"Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game takes its first steps into the MCU with Legendary: Spider-Man Homecoming. Play through the movie story line using Peter Parker and friends, including Tony Stark, in their cinematic setting as they battle the scavenger Vulture and his crew."

The expansion will include 100 new cards, as well as a color rule sheet. Players will be able to include 5 new heroes, 2 Villain groups, 2 new Masterminds, and 4 new schemes into their game. Every pack from the first print run will also include a bonus promo card.

The Homecoming expansion is Upper Deck's fourteenth extension to Marvel: Legendary. Previous Marvel: Legendary expansion packs have been inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy, Civil War, and the X-Men.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming expansion pack is expected to be available in October, although an official release date has not been announced.

Spider-Man: Homecoming currently has an 86.4 ComicBook.com Composite Score, which is also higher than Iron Man's 84.9, and a 4.2 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Rating, making it the fifth most-liked comic book movie among ComicBook.com user. That places it higher than Iron Man, which sits at number sixteen with a 3.88 out of 5.
