One of the great things about the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been its ability to introduce an array of diverse, complex characters. Of course, as the slate of characters within the MCU continues to grow, so does the list of comic book team-ups that fans want to see in live-action.
If recent tweets from two of Marvel’s stars are any indication, there’s certainly an interest in one particular female-centric team-up – between Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).

Both actresses currently hail from different corners of the MCU – Missick appeared in last year’s Luke Cage and will reprise her role in August’s The Defenders, while Thompson’s portrayal of Valkyrie will debut in November’s Thor: Ragnarok.
But both of their characters briefly united in a 2013 comic series, Fearless Defenders – a team-up that fans now want to see onscreen. Both Thompson and Missick echoed that support on Monday, through a series of tweets.

Of course, there’s no telling whether or not a live-action adaptation of Fearless Defenders would see the light of day. But Marvel Studios has certainly been willing to listen to overwhelming fan response in the past, if Phil Coulson’s resurrection onto Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the upcoming Squirrel Girl-led New Warriors series, are any indication.
Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok โ the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization โ at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger โ The Incredible Hulk!
The cast features Chris Hemsworth in the title role for the fifth time; Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s adversarial, adopted brother, Loki; Idris Elba as the Asgardian sentry, Heimdall; Sir Anthony Hopkins again portraying Odin, Ruler of Asgard; Mark Ruffalo reprising his role of Bruce Banner/the Hulk; Cate Blanchett as the mysterious and powerful new villain Hela; Jeff Goldblum as the eccentric Grandmaster; Tessa Thompson bring the classic hero Valkyrie to life on the big screen; and Karl Urban will add his might to the fray as Skurge.
