The next installment of Marvel's cinematic universe will branch off into the arcane with Doctor Strange. With the film less than 12 weeks away, Marvel Studios brought it to Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 in full force. The entire core cast took the stage during Marvel's H H panel on Saturday night, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelson and Benedict Wong, along with director Scott Derrickson.
The cast answered questions from moderator Chris Hardwick about their characters' roles in the film and helped introduce a brand new Doctor Strange trailer. If you missed the event, you can see the cast do their thing in the video embedded above.
Marvel's Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City's Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson, who co-wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino will provide the score for the film.
