There seems to be plenty of torque left in the Fast and the Furious franchise, as the latest installment, The Fate of the Furious is continuing to stack some big box office returns.
Fate of the Furious already had the biggest global box office opening weekend ever, and now reports are in that the film has officially sped past the half a billion mark at the worldwide box office, thanks in part to a very impressive haul on Monday.

Deadline reports that Fate grabbed another $8 million in domestic earnings on Monday, the second-highest-earning earnings for an April film. It’s domestic total now stands at $107.3 million, with a whopping $500 million in additional earnings, overseas.
Fate of the Furious continues to outpace Star Wars: The Force Awakens in terms of the earnings speed; by this time in that film’s release, domestic earnings were $98.78 million and worldwide earnings were $529 million.
