Ghostbusters Action Figure Prototypes Revealed

I ain't afraid of no estrogen!

Director Paul Feig (The Heat, Spy) has revealed 6" prototype action figures Mattel has created for the Ghostbusters reboot. The toys feature the new paranormal exterminators: Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones).

The reveal comes a day after Feig addressed fans who were concerned that the female Ghostbusters would be underrepresented by toy companies like Rey and Black Widow were with The Force Awakens and Avengers: Age Of Ultron toy lines.

"Fear not. Action figures of our Busters have already been in production for months," Feig tweeted on Wednesday. "Several types and sold separately. Mattel, Funko, Diamond Select and others making over 20 figures in all sizes and styles. Tons of other stuff coming too."

The main Ghostbusters cast includes Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones. Costarring in the film are Andy Garcia, Cecily Strong, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Chris Hemsworth and Neil Casey. Original Ghostbusters cast members Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts Sigourney and Dan Aykroyd will all make a cameo. It's being directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat), based on a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold.

Ghostbusters is due in theaters July 15, 2016.
