Many audiences might know Halle Berry from her Oscar-winning performances and as one of the most lauded talents of her generation, but the actress had humble beginnings, including appearances in comic book films. According to the actress, those previous superheroics helped her prepare for joining a beloved franchise like Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

“The Bond movie I did I think most informed this experience. These are big huge movies with big huge stars and it’s a big huge concept,” Berry revealed to ComicBook.com about her previous experiences. “It helped that I had worked on a few of these before.”
Berry’s portrayal of Storm in the X-Men series might have been a different experience, as her role in the new film wasn’t quite as action-packed, but based on a story from her co-star Pedro Pascal, he might have learned a thing or two from a character she went on to portray.
“I’m telling you, I had a Catwoman moment.” Pascal explained. “It’s a different Catwoman [than co-star Halle Berry‘s portrayal]. But there was a Catwoman moment on set where, in one take, I had to crack the whip and hit a bag of dust. If I hit the bag of dust, it would help the shot, because it would have just [exploded], as if the floor was sort of like exploding with the sound of the crack.”
You can see Berry and Pascal showing their super abilities when Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens in theaters on September 22, 2017.
