As part of Tubiโs month-long streaming celebration Terror on Tubi, the 2009 cult-classic Jenniferโs Body is now streaming for free. The film is also currently streaming on Hulu for those with a paid subscription, but this addition to Tubi makes it easier than ever for viewers to check out the comedy horror that, while it didnโt exactly impress at the box office, has gone on to be a pop culture phenomenon, one that weโre still waiting on a sequel to.
Jenniferโs Body stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried and centers around Jennifer Check (Fox), a high school cheerleader who ends up possessed by a demon with an insatiable appetite for human flesh after a night out and begins killing her male classmates. Her best friend, the bookworm Anita โNeedyโ Lesnicki (Seyfried) gets entangled in things as she tries to find a way to stop the killing. The film is written by Diablo Cody and is directed by Karyn Kusama
Jenniferโs Body Is An Underrated Gem (And We All Want That Sequel)

Jenniferโs Body is a classic case of a film that didnโt perform at the time of its release, but went on to be popular with fans, so much so that the story may not be over just yet. Back in 2024, Cody made it clear that she wasnโt done with Jenniferโs Body and very much wanted to do a sequel. Then, earlier this year, Seyfried revealed that plans for a sequel were in the work with producer Mason Novick. More official details have not yet emerged, but fans are hopeful.
Part of what makes Jenniferโs Body such an enduring favorite despite its initial lackluster performance is that, in looking back, the film has been hailed as solid commentary on the nature of female rage, making it a forgotten feminist classic that is less about the actions of men against women โ in this case, what the band did to Jennifer in order to gain fame and fortune โ and more about women taking that power for herself. Itโs a subversive film that fits nicely in the horror genre while also subtly subverting it and now that itโs more widely available for streaming thanks to Tubi, more viewers than ever can check out this modern classic.
