Fate of the Furious races into theaters starting tonight, and in addition to the thrilling action sequences, fans will also see the beginnings of a new story arc for their favorite characters. That is if they can take down one of their own.
Fate of the Furious is the eighth entry in the successful franchise, but the team behind it has no plans of slowing down. Plans are already in place for a third trilogy of films, and Director F. Gary Gray says fans will be able to see that shift in Fate (via Heroic Hollywood).

“I think that when you watch the film, you understand that this is different, and hopefully it leaves you understanding that there’s more to the saga beyond eight. I definitely want people to kind of come in really focused on being entertained and stimulated and just entertained across the board with this film, but also to recognize that there’s somewhat of a shift in the franchise and the saga and that there’s more story left. And I think that there is, and you’ll see that when you watch this movie.”
Fate of the Furious is currently sitting at a 3.66 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings. You can view the official synopsis below.
