Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress0comments
In 2016, Wit Studio did what many fans felt were impossible: they made an anime which rivaled the popularity of Attack on Titan. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress has been called ‘AOT + Zombies,” and it is a remarkably apt description. The praised series takes place in a post-industrial world where a virus has turned millions of humans into living corpses. The steampunk-esque world struggles to fight back against the undead monsters, so humans have isolated themselves into fortressed stations. However, when on such locations is invaded by the deadly creatures, it’s up to a young engineer to test out his anti-Kabane artillery, and he learns they’re more than capable of taking down zombies. The series ended back in June, and fans feel confident that another series is on its way.
Still, the official announcement would do wonders for their shot nerves; After all, the series is a pretty intense one.prev
