Amazing Spider-Man 2: The First (Real) Look at Electro

Last night, we brought you a fan-shot snapshot that represented at the time the

first image of Jamie Foxx as Electro in Marc Webb's upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Shortly thereafter, though, London's Daily Mail posted a trio of photos to their website that put the fan-shot sort to shame; close-up, high-resolution images that not just say, "Hey! Electro was here!" but actually give a sense for what the character might look like onscreen. And, yes, seem to suggest that perhaps the hoodie we doubted was part of the character's wardrobe might actually be part of the look. The filmmakers have been saying from the beginning that this version of Electro would be radically different from what we'd seen in the comics; certainly this isn't the yellow-and-green costume longtime fans have come to expect, or even the more subdued Ultimate Comics version.
