Arrow Suicide Squad

Fans have waited a long time for Arrow to bring in the Suicide Squad, and it was well worth the wait. Tonight's episode is intense and dark, telling a complex and interesting story that teaches us a lot more about one of Arrow's most beloved characters. David Ramsey has never been better than he is in "Suicide Squad." Ramsey's performance is flawless, and Dig's journey with the Suicide Squad was the highlight of a very strong episode. Ollie's story takes a slight backseat, but he is in no way forgotten as both Dig and Ollie deal with a variety internal and external darkness in their lives. "You understand that your choices are really driving the story along in a bigger way than perhaps the Russia episode did," Ramsey told ComicBook.com in an interview about the episode. "All the questions that a viewer would have now, I have, like what does this mean for the future? What does this mean for Suicide Squad? What does this mean for Diggle? Is he going to start working more with Suicide Squad? All these questions start coming out because my decisions have really led the story along."

Suicide Squad

Larry Teng directs this long awaited episode, which does not disappoint. This may be his first episode of Arrow, but hopefully it won't be his last. And while most of the actors have been on the show before, look out for another newcomer to the show, Lee Majdoub, who plays quite an interesting new character. All in all, "Suicide Squad" may not have as many laughs as some other episodes, but it definitely reminds us of who Diggle and Ollie both are, and why they do what they do.
