Box Office: Fifty Shades Of Grey Spanks Competition; Kingsman Comes In Second

Friday's North American box office numbers are in and it looks like Fifty Shades Of Grey will come out on top for the weekend. The naughty film, which is based on E.L. James bestselling book, collected $7.9M on Friday and is now expected to bring in $24-$25M for the weekend.

Kingsman: The Secret Service, which is based on Mark Millar's comic book series, continues to perform very well. It will come in second place once again and will pull in $16.1M for the weekend. That pushes its domestic total to $66M.

There are three newcomers this weekend. The Duff and McFarland U.S.A. are battling for fourth and fifth place this weekend as both films will finish up the weekend with $11M and change. Audiences have given the films A and A- CinemaScores, respectively. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 has stumbled out of the gate with a seventh place finish and $7M for the weekend. Audiences only gave it a C- Cinemascore. I doubt if any more hot tubs will travel in time.
