Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is not dead.

Celebrity death hoaxes are nothing new on social media, but this time, things were a little different. Sir George Martin, The Beatles' producer, passed away yesterday and George R.R. Martin got caught up in the wave of mourning and well-wishing.

The surviving Martin felt obliged to take to his Livejournal page to pay tribute to his namesake, and to reassure fans that he's fine.

Now, when the next book is expected along is a whole other story...!
