Guardians Of The Galaxy Annual #1 Cover By Frank Cho Revealed

Frank Cho's cover for August's Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 has been released online. The annual will arrive in stores right around the same time that the Guardians of the Galaxy film is hitting theaters. The attractive cover design is likely aimed at grabbing the attention of moviegoers looking to jump on with the Guardians of the Galaxy comics after seeing the movie. Annuals usually contain self-contained one-shot stories, so there's a good chance it will be well suited for new readers. The cover has Gamora in the forefront with images of Rocket Raccoon, Groot and old Nick Fury included in the paneled background. The cover is actually quite similar in design to the cover Cho created for X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1 last year (included below). Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 will ship in August. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie will hit theaters August 1.
