Today is actress Emma Watson's birthday.

Better known to the world as Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, Watson played Harry Potter's brainy friend in all eight films from Warner Bros. The series transformed her into a global celebrity, as she's currently launching an acting career outside the walls of Hogwarts.

Since Harry Potter, Watson starred in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, and Noah. Her next major role will come in 2017, when she will play Belle in Disney's live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
