Happy Birthday! Laura Vandervoort Turns 31 Today

Today is Laura Vandervoort's birthday.

The versatile actress is best known for playing Supergirl/Kara Zor-El on The CW's superhero television series Smallville and Lisa on ABC's sci-fi series V. She has dabbled in feature films with small but memorable roles in The Lookout starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Macfarlane's side-splitting comedy, Ted. More recently, you can find Laura starring in the Space original series Bitten as Elena Michaels, the world's only female werewolf.

We should be seeing more of Laura this fall, the actress revealed during San Diego Comic-Con that she has been approached about making an appearance in CBS' upcoming Supergirl television series.

Fun Fact: You could say Laura was born to be Supergirl. She actually shares her birthday with DC Comics' Girl of Steel. You could say she was born to be Elena Michaels as well. Yup, she shares the birthday with her Bitten character, too. What are the odds?!
